Terms of Use

The Parent's Roadmap to College provides educational information, planning guidance, resources, and organizational tools designed primarily to help parents and families navigate the college-planning process.

Journey Record provides a way to organize and retrieve information related to a student's academics, activities, achievements, leadership, service, work experience, and other information that may be useful during the college and scholarship process.

The Parent's Roadmap to College is an educational and organizational resource. It does not guarantee:

• admission to any college or university;
• scholarships or financial aid;
• admission to a particular academic program;
• any particular admissions decision; or
• any other educational outcome.

The information provided through the Roadmap is general information and is not individualized admissions, legal, financial, or tax advice.

College policies, application requirements, deadlines, testing policies, financial-aid rules, scholarship requirements, and other information can change. You are responsible for verifying important requirements and deadlines directly with the applicable college, university, government agency, testing organization, scholarship provider, or other official source.

You are responsible for providing accurate information when using the service and for maintaining access to the email account associated with your account.

The service is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13, you may not create an account or provide personal information through the service.

You control the information you choose to enter into Journey Record.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to provide information you enter about another person, including a student.

Journey Record is intended as an organizational tool. You should retain copies of particularly important information or documents elsewhere when appropriate.

Certain features require a one-time purchase.

The Full Parent's Roadmap to College is currently offered as a one-time purchase, and Journey Record is offered as a separate one-time purchase.

Prices shown at the time of purchase apply to that transaction. We may change prices for future purchases without changing purchases already completed.

We want The Parent's Roadmap to College to be genuinely useful to your family.

If a purchased product is not a good fit, contact hello@myroadmaptocollege.com within 14 days of purchase to request a full refund for that product.

A full refund ends access to the refunded product.

If Journey Record access ends because of a refund, information previously saved in Journey Record is not automatically deleted. You may contact us if you would also like to request deletion of your stored information.

Purchases of the Full Roadmap and Journey Record are separate. Refunding one product does not automatically refund another separately purchased product.

We reserve the right to deny or limit refunds in cases of fraud, abuse, repeated refund requests, or misuse of the refund policy.

You may use the service for personal and family college-planning purposes.

You may not:

• attempt to gain unauthorized access to another person's account or information;
• interfere with the operation or security of the service;
• use automated methods to scrape, extract, or systematically copy the service;
• reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license, or commercially exploit substantial portions of our original Roadmap content without permission; or
• use the service for unlawful purposes.

The original content, organization, design, written guidance, tools, and other materials provided through The Parent's Roadmap to College are owned by or licensed to The Parent's Roadmap to College and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Purchasing access gives you a limited right to use the product for your own personal or family college-planning purposes. It does not transfer ownership of the content or give you permission to redistribute or commercially reproduce it.

You may, of course, use information you personally enter into Journey Record for your own purposes.

We may update, improve, correct, or modify the service and its content over time.

We work to keep the service available and information useful, but we do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

The Roadmap may link to websites and resources operated by colleges, government agencies, testing organizations, scholarship providers, and other third parties.

Those resources are provided for convenience and informational purposes. We do not control third-party websites, and their content, availability, policies, and practices may change.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Parent's Roadmap to College will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service or reliance on information provided through it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and take additional steps to notify users when appropriate.
